Colorful .... and yet somewhat ugly. I heard the term "wart" something to describe one of these. You decide. Although once between two layers of pie crust I would use the term "yummy".

The 2009 harvest continues.... Trannies.

This year is the first good harvest we have had from the Transparent apple tree. This year we had enough for a few eating apples, enough for dehydrated slices and enough for one great apple pie. The tree is 6 years old.

2009 Harvest. All within 50 feet. Small yard gardens.

I'm going for the low hanging fruit. In this case sour cherries.

Might just as well pick some raspberries while I'm taking a break from work to pick cherries.

Fall Harvest 2008

Swenson Red grapes.

Haral Red apples.

.
Apples and grapes just before harvest. Notice the single bunch of grapes in the upper left. And your eyes are not fooling you there is netting covering the grapes. The yard birds love the grapes. Last year a family of Cardinals wiped out the crop before we could get our share. Not this year.
