Wildlife galore!

Otter with a bluegill for lunch. This photo was taken on Marengo Lake by Carol Seago. The pancakes and fresh home made maple syrup was great. Thanks Carol and Brian.

Female American Kestrel.

Female American Kestrel. This is the first female Kestrel I have photographed.

Male American Kestrel. This bird was photographed several weeks ago. It is present here for comparison with the female Kestrel above. Note the difference in the wing pattern. The male has a blue gray leading edge on it's wing.

American Kestrel along WI Hwy 63.

On a recent trip home from work I counted 8 of these American Kestrels along a section of WI Hwy 63 between Grandview WI and Hwy 118. I was impressed with this number until I read the posting on a local birding site. Ryan B had seen 28 the same day. I guess the Kestrels are here.
