Not everything in our yard is edible.

Angel's trumpet.

Angel's trumpet. These flowers are short lived. They only last about 24 hours then they wilt away. But for a short time they are beautiful.

Not all visitors to the feeder hum. Some buzz.

Our yard is getting ready to harvest. Apples, plums, grapes, raspberries and blueberries.

A lake I (we) love to fish.

This is one of my favorite spots in this part of the country. It's a small lake, not well known, nice fishing, no "wall hangers", and peaceful.

First bass on a new 3wt flyrod. This is an example of the cookie cutter size, near legal size large mouth bass we often catch. In years of fishing this lake we've never caught a legal size bass. But the fishing experience is still great.

It the kind of spot where you can forget the troubles of the day and relax. A place where there never seems to be anything hanging over your head....unless of course you bring Stretch and Mrs. Stretch along on the fishing trip.

County Hwy. E.

This is a honey of a spot. Pun intended.

This is a crop that depends on honeybee pollination.

The two fields in these photos where within 1/4 mile of each other. I'm sure a planned arrangement.

Follow Mom!

Michelle, Bib 714, Firehouse 50. First race and a first place.

Rolling start. Heading to the starting line.

First race. First pack. Bib 714.

Halfway mark. 25 mile down 25 miles to go.

Last quarter mile.

Turning to the finish.

Michelle with some local supporters.

The unofficial results placed Michelle at # 1 for her age group. If the official results agree... WOW!

In any case she rode a great race and to quote her "I didn't crash and I didn't make anyone else crash that was the best part".

Fiber Facets. Becky McDowell and Suzannah Martin

Suzannah and Becky.

Visiting with guests.

My favorite piece. I liked the "political" message. More detail below.

Titled piece. "Last Call: Creation Betrayed"

Enlarged section. Apologies to the artists for changing the presentation and any color shifts created by the photos.

Ditto to coldh2o.

Chequamegon Bay over the weekend.

Chequamegon Bay over the weekend.

Family, friends, food and drink.

Family, friends, food and drink. Shrimp (JUMBO that is), venison, potatoes, peppers, mushrooms, tomatoes and onion. Gin & tonic with a twist of lime. Margaritas with a touch of salt. Three generations of friends including twins. Two artists both with left political leanings. A wife and sister to boot. Watermelon for dessert. What a great way to spend a Saturday evening.
