Ashland Wisconsin birders.
Ryan Brady (L) and Erik Bruhnke (R). If you're a birder and you're visiting the Ashland WI, Chequamegon Bay area these are the guys you want to hook up with. This photo was taken at the Ashland Marina looking east toward the oredock. The photo was taken while Ryan and Erik were digiscoping the snowy owl seen below. Ryan is a raptor biologist and Erik is a Northland College student. See Ryan and Erik's birder postings on this web site.
Digiscoping. For those who have emailed to ask. This is digiscoping. The term describes using a digital camera with a spotting scope to take photos. In this photo Ryan Brady is aligning his hand held digital camera up to the eye piece of his spotting scope. With the right match up of equipment and a little practice you can take excellent photos. Go to this web site and follow the links to some of Ryan's photos.
