When it's over it's over. Winter that is.

Main Street and Ellis Ave.

Closed US 2 west of Ashland. West end beach area.

It's sure not over today. Roads closed in all directions. Cars in the ditches in all directions. Schools closed in all directions.

you northerners have all the fun....they didn't even close metro schools, only the "good" kids in the "safe" suburbs got a snow day here in the twin cities.

Well when I was a kid I use to have to walk five miles to school in the morning and home for lunch, back for the afternoon then home before dark.

On snowy days we had to break out the snowshoes.

Nowadays they cancel school. Wimps!

I'll bet coldH2o had to walk 8-9 miles one way. Probably had to carry his sister.

Those were the days!

When you didn't have to break out the showshoes, did you have to walk barefoot up hill all the way, both ways? ;)

I recall you grew up in the banana belt of MA, for cripe's sake. 8-9 miles, heh, more than that. & no I wouldn't carry my sister, they had to find their own way. You know how I feel about familiy.

That looks so unbelievably cold. Reminds me of when I was a kid standing at my bus stop. My hair had been wet, but froze, and when I went to but it in my hat, some of my hair actually broke off. Brrrrr.
