This is our first spring (post ice out) evening. Fishermen are starting to fish in areas where only two weeks ago they were sitting on ice and fishing through holes. Notice the boat in the lower left corner of this photo. No smelters yet but this weekend should be the big weekend. I'm looking forward to getting some photos.

I found your answers to my smelt questions. Man, cleaning those little things could be a hell of job since they're so small. I guess it's no different than cleaning shrimp. I almost wish I hadn't gone back to read your answers because now the desire to eat fried fish is back and even more powerful than before.
