Spring Steelhead Trout fishing.
This small stream / river runs into Lake Superior. From this spot on the river it is approximately 3 miles to Lake Superior.
Isn't that water kind of cold for standing in and fishing? The swallow-tailed kite has a mate and they are hanging around like they might be looking to settle down and raise a family. Watching them glide around in the breeze is so beautiful. They seem to know that I'm watching them because they swoop just above my head as if to say, Hi, watch what I can do. This morning one of them just stopped and sat on the branch obove me. He sat there looking down and checking me out. They have to be the most beautiful birds in flight.
