Hummingbird Clearwing Sphinx moth.
These photo were taken at a friends home in the Milwaukee WI area. Thanks to J & K we had a great time as usual.

What nice photos of this moth! They move so fast that it's difficult to photograph them...my efforts a couple of weeks ago were rewarded with out-of- focus blurs. I think its a kind of spinx moth...I hope of your entomologist viewers can identify it more exactly.
I tell you, I have the best time coming to this site. I click on the link and just sit back and enjoy all the views. I don't know what I'd do if you stopped posting all these wonderful pictures. Yeah, I do know what I would do, I'd become very very sad because I would miss them so much. Thank you! Thank you this little oasis of beauty.

I have seen these and never knew what they were. Amazing, amazing photos.
