The US 2 pedestrian tunnel is OPEN.

First trip down the ramp to the tunnel entrance.

Staying to the right.

Celebration! Open at last. Access to the waterfront and the bike and walking trail.

Finally access to the waterfront.

Headed back under US Highway 2. Ashland City Hall and the US Post Office are the two buildings on the right.

Headed up the ramp to the US Highway 2 park entrance.

Thanks for putting a human face on the need for the underpass. It was very courageous of Ed to make his case for the need for the underpass. Thank you!

What is just as important is the safe access to the lake and very attractive amenity this underpass provides for ALL people, not just the physically challenged.

Just like the troglodytes who opposed the Northern Great Lakes Regional Visitors Center, the Regressives opposed to the underpass will become silent and actually supportive once people come to realize its value to all members of the community.

KUDOs to you and Ed!
